Lint Bin
A lot of little changes make it easier to keep the laundry area organized and clutter-free.
These little bins are a great start. They don’t take any space at all and hold all of the little fluff and stuff from pockets as well as the lint from the dryer.
They are easy to put up anywhere. Most have a magnet on the back and holes to hang them on the wall.
The ones with lids look great, but it is easier to drop things in one-handed if the top is open.
Coins and Chapstick
These little bins hold all the things you find when you check pockets.
When I was a kid, my dad told me I could keep anything I found in pockets if I took over doing laundry at home. Years later he let me know that he intentionally left treasure for me to find.
Fabric Softener Sheet Dispenser
These convenient containers fit a laundry softener sheet box.
They make it easy to grab a sheet and toss it in.

There are a few variations. These just slip under the jug and rest on the shelf or top of your washer.
This one comes with a measuring cup to fit.
It hangs on the jug. Just push it up and it is perfectly positioned.
If the others won’t work where you keep your detergent, this one is sure to. It provides a stable platform for the detergent and holds the lid measuring cup.

Sweater Shaver
This sweater shaver is not exactly for decluttering, but it is one of the best things in my laundry.
I saw this as I was waiting in a check out line so many years ago I can’t remember. It is really great. It costs hardly anything. It gets any little balls or fuzzies off sweaters, T-shirts, even sheets.
It works really fast and doesn’t seem to harm the fabric at all.
My first one eventually wore out. It lasted, I think, 20 years. I found the exact same one on Amazon and it still works the same.
